What drives me

Born into a highly educated Indian family, I was asked the following questions repeatedly. So if you have the same questions, I hope my answers provide you some inspiration.

What is your drive in life? -Answers the next 3
What do you want to do?
Who do you want to be?
Why do you want to do that?

Although someone rightly quoted " life is a lesson, you learn when you're through", I'm confident that I have found my answers.

What is my drive in life?
   to read more-->

There are 3 basic drives in one's life.
  1. Drive to learn
  2. Drive to acquire
  3. Drive to bond

My drive encompasses all three.

My drive to learn-
I have a passion to learn, do and be everything period.
To put that in words, I aim to have a PhD in every possible field. Since new fields emerge every now and then it is a never ending road. I want to do more than Steve Jobs, Neil Armstrong, Beethoven, Tesla, Gandhi did respectively in their fields.

My drive to acquire-
I have passion to acquire new skills and brush up old ones. I like to challenge myself every now and then. Failure now looks like fun. When I fail to perform to my own expectations, I see it as an opportunity to grow and something to work on. This never ending game always fascinates me.

My drive to bond-
I always think of the future generations before I make any decisions in life. I do not wish to die with the guilt that I spoilt things for them or even worse did nothing to help them.
Simply put, I believe the world is one big family. So it's always fun to get in touch with another family member. That said, I always put the needs of humanity and all other living species above mine.

To answer that, one must define 'life' and of course 'death'.
I define life as an endless ocean of experiences and cycles both good and bad. I make it a point to enjoy every moment, good and bad, since it is unique of time. That moment cannot be relived. Sadly, I only have an unknown limited amount of oxygen left to explore and enjoy the depths of the endless ocean of life. Thus, deep in my heart, I wish for immortality.

Death, to me, means the end of my human abilities. One transforms into a form where one cannot communicate, express, feel, touch or hear. No one knows what's on the other side. I'm an atheist and believe in complete nothingness. If death promises something greater, I would like to know about that first before risking my loss of human abilitie

I'm a thinker, dreamer, doer and a strong follower of stoicism. I have a passion to learn and apply that to make the world a better place.
