Chris Guillebeau nails it.
It's about who you want to be and do and NOT what others want you to be and do.
I live every day like a new day. I am born everyday. I measure my success everyday. I reset my achievements every night. The only thing i aspire is to beat my own achievements.
Past doesn't decide my future. My beliefs and will power do.
Henry Ford rightly said- " The only history that matters is the history we make today"
I choose to live for others
there is always someone who needs help
there is always a flaw that needs to be fixed
There is always something for me to improve myself on
There is always something the world needs
There is always something for me to learn
There is always someone who needs to be loved
As long as there is life in this universe, I have hope and the ability to help others.
Your personal vision decides how far you go in life. Your status (social, financial.etc) merely decides the resources at your disposal and skills decide what you can do efficiently.
If you don't have a vision, you can only go so far. You are just a well developed dispensable human tool with no mind of its own. There are probably a million others who are better skilled and enjoy a higher social status.
Your personal vision is what makes the difference. It doesn't matter where you are from, it matters where you are going. It is the only true measure of status.
If you lack a personal vision, you are merely a pawn in the pages of history. Life to you will most likely mean about struggle and survival. A personal vision is rarely about you. It's about your impact on others. It's about how much you care what happens after you die. A human in this era born is capable of much more.
So why dream and live like an ape?

I'm a thinker, dreamer, doer and a strong follower of stoicism. I have a passion to learn and apply that to make the world a better place.
